Dear friends, partners and colleagues,

In this post, I will introduce our brand new project – Thistle & Lime Consulting, why we started this company, what sets us apart in the field of personal and professional development and how we plan to provide innovative services for individuals, small teams and corporate environments and educational institutions.

WHY are we doing this?
For 20 years I have been a part of the growing and evolving sector of Business Development, Educational and Training Services in Bulgaria. During this time, a lot has been achieved. In several stages and waves, we – the consultants, in our various roles and capacities managed to:

  • master different theories and methods;
  • both copy and create individualized solutions, or at least aspire to do so according to our clients’ needs;
  • adapt hundreds of practices to the conditions and particularities of our local market and business environment;
  • within various formats and through multiple approaches, we managed to show a number of those practices to be useful and beneficial, as well as expose others as unfit or unsuitable;
  • together with our clients, we were both captivated and disappointed by difficult projects;
  • followed all kinds of trends and modern answers for battling stress, burnout or conflict resolution.
  • we “preached” healthy living, well-being, work-life balance and coached for motivation and engagement;
  • witnessed a variety of results;
  • saw first hand, how short term thinking can be detrimental to significant change and lead to poor returns on financial investments;

It is with all of these successes and failures in mind that we begin to model our new vision. There is fertile ground for innovative models and fresh methodology, directly adapted to our ever demanding and competent clients whose expertise and professionalism is our greatest resource.

The motivation to develop and put forward our offerings stems from the realization that it is time for ambitious personal and corporate growth, where educational courses and training seminars allow for self-reflection, serious analysis and plans for critical evaluation of all stated goals. This process can only be productive when we step away from cliches, take responsibility and readily face all challenges – openly and courageously.

In other words, we dedicate ourselves to sharp, bittersweet ideas and meaning, which yield visible and measurable results, lead to lasting personal and professional growth and provide invaluable assets to small teams and corporate environments alike.

We are going to create and continuously foster a culture of learning and growing which gives us an edge and realises professional success.

WHO are we?
We are Viara and Emil (more on our experience and background here) and we believe in the success of our shared endeavour, because together we represent a rare and valuable mix of characteristics. These combine 20+ years of local and international business and educational experience with a fresh perspective, knowledge, ambition, dynamic thinking in the area of interdisciplinary human studies and the world of philosophical ideas.

Together and apart we are convinced that pursuit of meaning lays at the roots of all satisfaction in our lives and work. This is no simple task, full of pain and difficulties, but more importantly – full of joy and fulfillment. Contrary to what our lesser instincts preach, it is within our power to act with integrity, strong ethics and unwavering honesty. Given the chance, we are prepared to prove that!
